Sven Sossong is back with a One Track EP on his own label GRYPHON right after his album WE ARE ALL ONE, which he released on the label of Drumcomplex, Complexed Records in May of this year. This is a collaberation between the newcomer talent MJL from Cologne and Sven Sossong himself. The title “AND I”, is a bit strange because as the cover shows us immediately, it is another person who was probably involved. Sven tells us that there is not a third person, but if you listen carefully, “AND I” will be heard more than once as a vocal in the track. He also told us that it was just a good opportunity for both of them to find a track name with which they both could identify to become a complete project inclusive the cover. As Sven told us, the cover was delivered exclusively from Sunny aka Esthet, who is as usual responsible for all our artworks. But before that happened Michael Liesenfeld aka MJL and Sven Sossong tried their track “AND I” for a long time, almost too long. We are talking about 1.5 years. Not that they wanted to be on the safe side, but sometimes you would like to have some exclusives in your Djset. But the demand during the sets or uploaded recorded sets was surprisingly large, which made both really happy. Shortly thereafter, Sven came up with the idea of publishing his collaboration with MJL on his own label as a ONE -TRACK EP.

As already mentioned, Sven, together with his life partner Cengiz (A / R), founded his own label GRYPHON in spring 2018, which started in April with the first release of Daniel Cuminale & ROD_A ´s “In addition“. Well-known artists such as Linus Quick, Chicago Loop, George Isaev, HAW and newcomers like Hermann Hesse and Micha B will release their EP as well. The label will launch the first showcases in Trier and Saarbruecken at the end of the year. However, label showcases are also planned in cities such as Lyon (F). It can be assumed that in future we will get to hear a lot more from the Saarbrücken-based label.
