Sly Faux announces part 2 of ‘The Vangelist’ LP on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD

Sly Faux further shows off his innovative sounds on this second of three standout album EPs.

Australian native Sly Faux is one of his homeland’s finest techno exports. He has played major clubs and festivals around the world, always blurring the line between DJ sets and live shows with on-the-fly edits and remixes. As a producer, he has served up vital tunes on labels like Grain Records, Elevate and One4SevenOne as well as Moudaber’s lauded MOOD imprint.

This second EP kicks off with the deep and cavernous rhythm of ‘Burn’, featuring Jono McCleery’s spine-tingling vocals soaring above the slowly lurching beats. ‘Panther’ is a nine-minute cosmic techno adventure of the highest order, with grooves interlocking with majestic synths for a tense and turbulent track custom-built for dance floors. Finally, ‘Polaroid Inertia’ shows another side to Sly Faux that is more pensive, with wooden hits and organic drums float in mid-air while tender synths sweep all around.
