holyklang welcome A_GIM as he delivers his latest EP ‘Runfunk’, backed by remixes from Michael Klein, MANOID, Szymon Weiss and Vidno.

An artist with a rich history within electronic music and beyond, Poland’s Agim Dzeljilji continues to showcase his talent as one of the country’s most experienced and well-versed artists. Releasing material via Noir Music whilst performing at Berghain and Eurosonic, his solo artist project A_GIM now showcases his latest EP ‘Runfunk’ as he returns to holyklang, backed by remixes from Michael Klein, MANOID, Szymon Weiss and Vidno.

Opening with the title cut, ‘Runfunk’ welcomes a medley of captivating and powerful soundscapes, whilst ‘Lusinea’ combines warping melodies, crunchy atmospheres and resonant leads for a hypnotic journey through sounds. Michael Klein’s remix welcomes the first of four interpretations of ‘Runfunk’ as he hones in on an entrancing core drum groove and serene background sonics for an impactful offering.

Next, MANOID ups the energy as tough metallic kicks and intense synths come to the fore, while Szymon Weiss’ take leans towards the groovier end of the spectrum as he utilises the original’s escalating leads to deliver a production packed full of drive. To close, Vidno’s remix pairs things back as the focus shifts towards expansive atmospheres, slow-blooming melodies and suspenseful breaks.
