Portuguese producer Insical debuts on Minimal Sessions this May with four heavy techno cuts including a remix from Stephen Disario.

Insical has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor rave scene of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old until moving to London, where he spent 6 years honing his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Once a part of the electronic group Blare, Miguel has several years of experience as a dance music connoisseur and sound designer and has since expanded to newer fields of music production including collaborations with artists such as Rabbit in the Moon, Gunslinger, as well as starting the Insical project, inspired by his true passions.

Up first is ‘Rift’, a bumpy techno wobbler featuring resonant drums, spiralling oscillations and warehouse themed atmospheres before ‘The Passing’ deploys shimmering modulations, deep vibrating kicks and looping, machine-like synths floating above.

‘Voices’ lays focus on menacing soundscapes through eerie leads, undulating rhythmic percussion and apocalyptic moods until prominent LA based producer and DJ Stephen Disario finishes off proceedings with a thunderous remix of ‘Rift’ delivering sharp, edged grooves and roaring yet hypnotic sonics in this intriguing techno roller.
