Native Instruments Maschine 2.6 Update

Native Instruments puts out it’s latest update: Maschine 2.6
More tools to spark your creativity, make you more productive in the studio, and add flair to your live sessions.
Control external gear with MIDI CC is A BIG UPDATE!
See all the updates in action below in our video collection, as well as the best summary of all this by Matt Cellitti in this beautiful video.

VARIATION ENGINE: RANDOMIZATION AND HUMANIZATION

The Variation engine helps add variety and spontaneity to your tracks for all the MASCHINE 4 x 4 controllers. The Randomizer creates a new pattern with random notes, note’s pitch, length and velocity. The Humanizer loosens up your beats and melodies.
So this is a random and another swing option. We have seen the randomizer before, back in the year 2000, when Propellerhead put Reason 1.0 out into the market … but the swing option sounds promising!

LOCK AND MORPH SNAPSHOTS

MASCHINE JAM’s Snapshot feature comes to the MK1, MK2 and STUDIO hardware.
Snapshots are an exciting new way to experiment creatively without losing your original sound. Freeze the settings of your current session with the Lock feature, and then return to them instantly after tweaking your sound’s parameters. Similarly, the Morph function seamlessly transitions between different Snapshots.
Cool!

NOTE EVENT EDITING

With MASCHINE 2.6 software, MASCHINE JAM has the same note editing capabilities as MASCHINE.
Start fine-tuning your patterns directly with the MASCHINE JAM controller – change a note’s pitch, velocity, length, or swing via the step sequencer.

CONTROL EXTERNAL GEAR WITH MIDI CC

Yep, that’s a BIG ONE!
With new MIDI CC capabilities, you can control your MIDI-capable external instruments, like your favorite Roland groovebox or Korg synth, as if they were plugins. Simply load the controller template for your device in your MASCHINE software, hookup an external MIDI interface, and play with any MIDI-enabled parameters, like tweaking a filter or adjusting a sound’s attack, directly from MASCHINE’s ultra-responsive pads and knobs. To get you started, we’ve built a library of presets for popular devices, which you can find on our Downloads page – and if you can’t find a preset for your favorite synth, it’s easy to build your own.

We found already some of your gear in the list like the Roland TR-8, the MFB Tanzbär or the Novation Ciruit … can’t wait to get our hands on! Video will come soonish!
