For FLHR004 the multi-talented Italian audio-visual duo Mohabitat joins Fehler-Musik with their first release. Their approach to techno is influenced by melodic synths, heavy drums and dark matters. Throughout the release a strong influence from Detroit-Techno is noticeable, which gives this production a stage of what techno is about. Mohabitat is composing every track using analog synths and drums accompanied by modern digital elements. This makes every track a solid trip with a background, that recalls post-rock ambience and deep electronic sound. Eventually this EP is rounded with the remix by Fehler-Musik’s resident Hartojo who lifts the track “Melting Point” into another dimension. “If we don’t feel good vibes and authenticity, we could stop everything we do. We wanna produce and play live what we do”, says Mohabitat about their production.

MOHABITAT | BIO

Mohabitat are Monoki and Hamaranta, sound and visual.
Thanks to their passion for sound and visual they separetly started a collaboration in studio for audio and video productions. In few months they became a duo, working together to explain their feelings using musical instruments, laptops and video software. In 2013 they started live performances like Monoki&Hamaranta, collaborating with Club 999 and Freaky Deaky crew, a brand that launched a successful party-series in the area of Prato, Tuscany.

2015 marked the year of Mohabitat. The time to finally write and produce quality music and visual together had come. Monoki and Hamaranta locked themselves in their studio with a clear picture in mind of what they wanted and needed to do. Inspired by modern Techno and Post-Rock/Electronic feelings, they produced atmospheric songs that were influenced by melodic and emotional elements. Their approach to different arts is the key to find and make a personal style in every live set and different locations: clubs, theaters and art exhibitions.

During season 2016/2017 they collaborated with two clubs close to them Tenax (Florence, Italy) and Club 999 (Prato).
In these years they played with Undercatt, Mennie, Monoloc, Ben Klock, Marco Effe and many more. They performed at ADE16 (Amsterdam), Madame Claude (Berlin) and they are organizing other live out of Italy.

At the moment they are Resident at NEXT – Techno Experience (Club 999, Prato).

AP|PAR|AT is a multimedia work by Mohabitat preserved by Contemporary Arts Center “Luigi Pecci” (Prato/Milan).
ANATOMIA DI UN SOGNO is an audio/video immersive experience art for Tuscania Festival 2017 (Peccioli, Italy).

THE CAGE and MICROBI are two different theaters concept with performers and actors writed and performed by Mohabitat in different venues.
