DJ Pierre – Acid House Pioneer:
Just stumbled over this nice little artist feature from Propellerhead ( Reason, Rebirth ) about DJ Pierre.
DJ Pierre is one of the key figures in the Acid House movement, and no wonder that Daft Punk named him on their track “Teachers” from their very first album (“Homework”) because they were inspired to make house music by his and DJ Spanky’s tune “Can you feel the bass“.
Interesting detail here that Ron Hardy gets a good amount of the credit as well because he also believed in this new sound and persisted to play this new music over and over till the crowd was finally convinced and thrilled by it.
